This educational toy is a multi-faceted Montessori learning game that combines gift genie's one of a kind sensory match game with sorting to create new challenges for older children. Ideal for ages 4-8 and people with sensory delays such as children with ASD or PDD. Because of the many ways to sort the discs among the mats and the fact that this can also be used as a match game, this activity can have exceptionally long play sessions. Younger children may need help reading the sorting attributes and since perception can be different among different individuals one who thinks a texture is bumpy another may feel the same texture is rough. These are great ways to start discussions on how people may view things differently even when looking at or experiencing the same things. Some of these photos show this game with the laminated mats version to give you an idea of how this game is played. This new version is more compact and will be easier to store the entire game in a bag.

Set includes 20 pairs (40 chips). Will come in a muslin bag to store it away in for safe keeping, and 10 large wooden discs labeled with different attributes.
